Curious, if I bypass the GMOS for the speaker hook up and go right of the HU harness, will the chime still function?
In your opinion, should I hook up and tuck the RCA wires away behind the dash for future use?

You know i was just wondering about that. Im really not sure, but i suppose you have the gmos-1 so wire them from out of the box cus it seems thats how to chime signal is sent to the speakers now that im thinking back to wiring mine.And idk what your talking about for rcas. If you don't care about retaining any chimes then bypass it. The reason power goes through it is because it allows the vehicle to identify the radio as a RAP device so it powers on and off with all the other accessory items.
