I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT. Installed a Alpine head unit and it looks and works great but my steering wheel controls don't work. Is there anyway to get it to work?

You need a PAC wiring harness. Basically it's a device that connects the steering wheel controls to the radio.

No. The stereo you purchase has to have a steering wheel input power wire and input line I believe. Typically it won't be your 60 buck aftermarket stereo that has that.

No. As mentioned, your stereo has to have a 3.5 mm input jack on the back. From there, it is just connecting a few wires then programming it.

It does not have a 3.5 mm jack. Is it still possible to do this?

No. You will have to buy a new stereo, as I did.

If your Alpine is remote control capable than you could use the PAC- SWIX, which uses a infrared led like the remote would use. You would just install the LED wherte it can see the HU. like in the center console somewhere. If your HU is not remote capable than you cannot use your steering wheel controls.
