Well i broke my factory monsoon 6 disc so now i need to get a new unit and im looking for a nice dbl din hu pref with aux. I also need to get the wiring harness for an 04 with monsoon. It is at my local bestbuy but is 110$ so i was wondering if you guys knew of a cheaper solution with being able to keep my steering wheel controls and my hud stations/cd view.

You could just by another 6 disk monsoon for the time being. The harness I got mine on eBay for pretty cheap some years ago.

What I've learned over the years is cheap HU aren't worse the hassle. I would get a name brand one. I bought a Jensen some years ago actually paid more then what I got one of my Pioneers for because it looked cooler. Well sold it after 4 days couldn't stand the lag it had with the iPod. Bought a pioneer kept that one for a few years then sold it to buy a newer model just cause.

i actually dont mind the 6 disc monsoon. What happened was i was in the middle of installing a sub and amp and had a single din i was going to use. I tried getting a cheap wireing harness to see if i could get it to work without steering wheel chimes ect but came to find out the single din was bad but somehow in the middle of this my 6 disc got screwed up and got a stuck disc so i ended up opening it up and taking the discs out but it was still offtrack even though i hadnt dropped or bumped it in anyway. I think that the sensors got messed up somehow or something from d/c it while it was changing a disc, idk. But anyway i ended up getting a line out converter and hooking up the subs that way through the wiring harness but what good is subs with no cds. So i decided ide open the hu up and try to fix it and i totalled it lol.

How much are they running on eBay for ?

If this was 2 years ago I sold my old pioneer for like $200 to a buddy I worked with. Way underpriced.

Verify it works too..I usually stay away from stereo stuff on Craigslist cause 9/10 times you have no way of testing it and can only off of someone's word.
