I'm having problems with my heater blower and headlamps along with my driver info center. When I have the heater selector off everything works fine. But on numbers 1-4 the heat won't blow, daytime lights turn off and info center goes out. On 5 everything comes back on. I just recently changed the resistor a few moths back and haven't had any problems since then. Last night I just left the heater on 3 for about 10 minutes and it all came back on and seemed to fix its self.. Until I got in it this morning then the problem came back

    Hey dildo ..

When I get off let's try the alternator I was talking to a guy and it sounds like it could be a voltage regulated problem.
Considering you swapped resisters and checked grounds already .

Bump / anyone else have any ideas ??

Why can't you just look up known issues for pontiac grand prix's? What benefit does him giving you his vin gain?

    camopaint0707,

I asked for his VIN so I could check for any possible recalls, which are VIN specific. In addition, he did not state the year of the vehicle, nor was it listed in his profile. Asking for the VIN would provide both.

Yep it sounds like the ignition switch. I wired a relay to bypass it. The tutorial was in a different forum. I've not had a problem since I installed it.

EDIT: I found the site for the relay I installed... http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.as...mode=1&smode=1
