    has anyone done this i see most people have went to the single dins but i want the double. id really like to have the nav and all that becasue i plan on traveling over the summer. if anyone has tell me what you used. and if you can post up some pics

    Are u wanting to swap to the double din navigation one that GM made or one u buy from best buy or something?

    i may be selling one come tax time, i didnt want double din, but thinking custom carputer now.

    Yes one from best buy. I figure the one from gm will be alot more that and idk what to look for. What are your suggestions?

    If u got one with navigation from best buy or somewhere it should come with everything for the navigation to work correctly. As for the factory chimes and sounds you will have to buy a wiring harness for that. If u got a GM navigation system it would cost more and you would have to buy a antenna and wire it in the roof or dash or where ever it goes

    best pic i got, you will need at least 2 extra parts, u need to buy a dash kit like 20 bucks and an adapter to have ur door chimes and everything work i think the part is gmos-01 another 30 bucks. all easy to install.

    If you have the Monsoon sound system and you intend to keep the Monsoon amp then you will need the GMOS-04 adapter and it will run you anywhere from $80-$120 depending on where you purchase it.

    No There's no shifter on it. It's just the stick and white button to push down. But I do like where he put the bass knob.

    when you swapped the radios you lost the calendar right? Are you still able to view your mileage? I have a 2004 grand pix gt and im looking to swap, i dont mind losing the calendar but i wanna make sure i can view the kilometres

    Yea you'll lose the calendar feature...no buy deal 98% of aftermarket HU have a calendar anyways plus that's what a cellphones for. You will keep your kM/MPH.
