If you have a capacitor you run the main power to the cap then run two separate wires to the amps or get a power distribution block to separate the power.
Re: Speaker Upgrade! Need a few simple questions answered please!
honestly you only need a cap if your pulling 1500 watts from the stock charging system and your barely gonna be at that point after your highs amp

i dont have a cap and dont plan on getting one unless i absolutely need it

eXcelon has nothing but good reviews..

a 2-ch amp is only run 2 speakers if you're getting 4 speakers go with the 4-ch amp.
Re: Speaker Upgrade! Need a few simple questions answered please!
ive always heard good things about kenwood so i think its a solid choice but im only 17 and ive had good experience with pioneer so i was going to stick with them. theyre a pretty well known solid brand at a decent price but i really do like this kenwood amp
Re: Speaker Upgrade! Need a few simple questions answered please!
you can run 8 gauge for the highs amp.. 8 guage is good up to 500 watts and youll prolly pull between 400-480 watts
also it said 4 gauge is the biggest you could use.. not what it called for..
Re: Speaker Upgrade! Need a few simple questions answered please!
your hifonics amp is maybe pulling 1000-1150 watts
that kenwood 400-480 watts
total 1400-1630 watts you SHOULDNT dim ... but its close

do you know of any cheap but good 8 gauge 4 channel amp kits? i found this one on sonic electronics because thats where ive found my stuff at the cheapests (between there and amazon) and this is a 4 gauge kit for $30 but its not very high quality so its probably like 8 gauge actually

Re: Speaker Upgrade! Need a few simple questions answered please!
