Full coverage insurance and I keep all my receipts. Car has an alarm and lives in a garage as well.

Very smart idea. I don't keep any of my reciepts but I have pictures documenting what I have.

5 cubes in the trunk of a Grand Prix isn't that tough. We shoved 7.6 in mine for 4 12s(and that was before port) had to build the box inside the trunk, but really wasn't to big of a deal. Just annoying when we wanted to get it out.

Lol, my 3.5 net was a PITA to get out to me. I'd love to do a build like that 4 12 setup, but I live in the boondocks, and can't risk losing access to my spare, and I would not rip a box apart to do it. Then again, I'm sure with a removeable baffle, and an access port over the spare.... hmm...

I did a 4 12 set with two separate boxes tuned to my cars cabin gain.. Ran about 6 or 7 different brands. They all sounded good and almost the same..

Make it short enough where u can pop the back of the seats out and slide it forward if you need to. You don't have to get outrageous 12s. Then you will have easy access to the tire(sorta).

Yeah, I honestly doubt I'll bother with that much effort in the trunk. If that car goes through another major upgrade, it'll just be an IA DP 21 walled... figure I can easily get the airspace for that and still have room to sit comfortably. GP audio, hell the GP period, got put on the back burner while I'm looking for a chassis for my 460 to go in. Considering a Fox swap, but I'd honestly much rather find an 80-86 f150 supercab. Time will tell.

The death penalty 21 is a strong sub if you can find the 2010-older magnet. The new one has horrible coil rock issues. I had 2 of them in 18s and completely trashed them within a few weeks on burps cuz of the coil wobble(then when that was the only damage incriminator told me I had been bottoming them out, when clearly the pole piece and inside of the coil were all destroyed and scratched to hell).

Wow, didn't know IA dropped the ball like that. I'm awful happy I didn't do that build yet. Thanks for the info.

The older style death penalty is built proof as well. We are running a crescendo bc3500 at .25ohm to a single 12(daily for that matter). Takes every bit of it like a champ and has been for awhile now.

Believe it or not a few strips of Velcro on the bottom of the box will keep it from sliding around a ton.

I've had no issues with the amp so far. I love it. I tried velcro on the bottom of the carpet itself to make sure it didnt move in the trunk but the stickyness on the velcro wasnt sticking to the carpet. Its even industrial strength.

You have to cut the carpet off the bottom of the box to stick it to something solid. It won't work if you just stick it to the carpet on the box, but u only have to use one side of the Velcro to grab the floor carpet.

The reason I suggest Velcro is I had a decent sized amp attached to my seats with Velcro, I actually flipped the seats up and it stayed there for almost 4 months until I took it out of the car.
