you know, i never really thought of it..can the back pressure of subs blow your rear deck speakers? as they are open air into the trunk..but anyway, i think ima get those, do you know of any good 6 1/2" door speakers?
I had 3500rmsw at that time. Match door speakers to rear or infinity components. You will gave to drill a nice hole in the door for the tweeters. You might also want to look into a 4ch amp. I have a 400.4 kicker, and a 1200.2 Audioque amp.

You will need a 4ch amp regardless of what speakers you get if you want good sound.
I'd rather have matching speakers. Im in no rush, the car still sounds good, i just turned the gains up a bit to pick up for having to run bass at 1/3 level. lol But I've heard kappa weren't very good sounding speakers for the price you pay? OR are they? I sure everyone has their own opinion, but do these speakers have alot of bass? or high treble? I've read they were "tinny" sounding if they werent in an enclosure. But hell I was thinking of these pairs. They've gotta sound better than the cheap 2-way pioneers from advance lol

I have those 6x9's they have little buttons on the the decrease that amount of highs that come out of the tweeter. I think they sound good and the abuse I put them through will make me buy another set. You didn't adjust the gain on your woofers amp did you? If so you might clip them to death.
i turned the filter from LPF to Flat and turned the gains up a bit. I have messed with the gains and LPF settings quite alot and they havent shat on me yet. haha I've even double bass boosted them and turned gains all the way up once. was pretty funny to throw my friend in the trunk with it like that xD
The gain control is not a volume control. It is meant to match the voltage output of your head unit, whether it be 2volts or 4 volts, that is all it is intended for.
