You guys with multi amp set ups. Where is your earth ground at?

Mine is on the inner spare tire well. Cleaned with a air grinder with steel brush. 4AWG to a ground Distribution block less then 2' away.

Right now for some reason im losing voltage to my amps.
Alt i am seeing 14.3-14.4 Volts
    Batt im seeing 14.2-14.3
ANL Fuse holder W/display 13.9-14.1 even on output with DMM
    Cap input 13.9-14.00
    Power block 12.5
    Power at amps 10.9-11.3

I know this has to do with grounding. Any help? Any better grounding points in trunk?

I ground mine on the passenger side strut tower, but side shouldn't matter. What size are the amps and what guage power and ground wire are you using?

What kinda wire are you using and is it all the same from battery to amp? Reason I ask is some cheap 4ga has the diameter of 4ga but inside the jacket the wire is about 8ga. Either way mine is grounded to strut tower

Yea, the only problem I am having is the dimming lights. Gotta get me a cap. Pushing 2300 watts doesn't help.

What? I have a 800 on my mids and highs and a 1500 on the two 12" subs. Used to run about 3500 watts and 3 15's in her a couple years back.

It sounds like you bought "tinned" wire. Cheap wire is covered in tin to get larger gauge out of less copper.

1/0ga from battery to the distro block FTW!
