I'm ditching the entire system: head unit, speakers, and amp. My question is about the head unit, I need a factory adapter for the head unit I know, but I'm curious if I need the Axxess GMOS-01 (gmos01) OnStar Interface for Non-Amplified GM or the Axxess GMOS-04 (gmos04) OnStar Interface for Amplified GM Systems. Any other advice from someone who has done this before would be great! Thanks!

If you are replacing everything HU, Amp, Speakers you can use the Gmos-01, that's what I used and have had no issues, also on a side note I took the left front output from the harness and wired to the center speaker so all my chimes come from the center speaker and not the left front. Use the RCA outputs for the amp input and you should have no problems. and then run all new speaker wires to each speaker. i also mounted the new amp in the same location as the old Monsoon amp. Mounted amp to a piece of plywood and mounted with the existing mounting holes in the rear deck, just make sure you can mount your amp upside down or else you may have a heat issue and the amp won't like it. Any other question don't be afraid to ask, there are a lot of knowledgable people on this forum. Good Luck on the install
