    Hey all

I need to run a power wire though my firewall into the car. I have a 1996 Grand Prix SE Coupe.

Has anybody done this before and can point out where I can run it through?

    Thanks in advance.

there should be a rubber plug located under the brake master cylinder. You can either punch/cut a hole thru this plug or replace it with a grommet of the proper size. Probably the easiest to use for your car.

Most Auto-Trans equipped 1st Generation W-Bodies have a large hole cut through the firewall between the driver's side strut tower and the brake master cylinder. The hole is plugged with a rubber grommet which can be easily drilled out to allow you to pass your amp wires through.

The reason for the giant hole in the firewall? Simple. It's where the clutch master cylinder is mounted on the W-Bodies that received Manual Transmissions.
