Play it all the way safe... disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Just remember your radio settings lol.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. If you want to see more about the build, it can be found here:

Id ont mean to thread highjack so, if you want to talk about it or have any questions, lets do it there!
alright well the guy (a friend of my mom and i's) who was supposed to come help me hook up the amp today had to work overtime at work so i prolly wont get it fully installed till this weekend. i would do it myself but my mom wants someone to watch over me and make sure i do it all the right way and what not, which isnt totally a bad idea. but whenever we hooked up my new head unit this past weekend he just sat there and watched me do it all... lol. but i did get the amp mounted. but the first time was an epic FAIL.. ill have some pics tomorrow or somethin but i didnt think to test it out when the seat was up and it hit the diagonal corner. *facepalm* so i had to move the amp and drill new holes, the old holes arent too terribly noticeble but i figured you guys would get a good laugh
Man, that's a small blunder lol... it's very funny watching someone build a speaker box after measuring incorrectly and attempting to literally drop-kick it into their trunk lmmfao. In any case, good thing you've got it mounted... one step closer to some bass!
The strut tower is good if your amp is close to it. You want your ground as short as possible. Make sure to clean off any paint before bolting in the ground wire. (Also make sure your ground is as big or bigger than your power wire **important**)
Anything that bolts to the body will work, unless you plan on running some cray power. Then you will want to go to the frame. Just make sure to remove the paint under that bolt.
pics of my amp fail
amp at night
so i got my subs and their enclosures from a friend for free a while back... after finally getting them hooked up and using them for less than a week... i rattled that back off... it was only being held in by like two screws who's holes were like stripped... so i popped some of my own screws into until i build a custom enclosure
ANYONE READING THIS LATER: MAKE SURE YOUR AMP WILL FIT WHEN YOU FOLD THE SEAT UP BEFORE SCREWING IT IN!!!
I murdered an Alpine 3555 cause I had it mounted on my sub box.
