I built a subwoofer box for the 02', and didn't like the openness above it that showed my 6x9's and some of the wiring, talked to Mark up at HuMount about a setup and he came thru with flying colors. Was moving along well when I got hit with Shingles on my shoulder, have a whole new respect for pain medicine. After about 2 weeks of constant pain this weekend was finally able to finish it after having it sit for that period of time. Here's some pics.
Here is the area I'm looking at putting in something.

Here is a box I built to house the LED's and the panel.

Here is the panel Mark did, the lettering is roughly 30" across, lettering is 2.5" high.

Due to the way the LED's are, could only wire 2 strings, have to extend the one, but you get an idea of what it will look like, the same circuit that lights the trunk light will light this also.

With cover off and LED's, the 2 recesses are space for the 6x9's

Back brackets will secure it to the subwoofer enclosure.

Front view of "box", black side pieces are velcro to hold the cover on.

Pictures of the finished cover piece, same material as the enclosure.

Pictures of the 2 pieces put together and close up shots of the lettering. Still need to paint the metal lettering piece gun metal to match interial, along with some wiring yet.

That's it, next is to finish the wiring and install...

Installed and wired it finally, took some pictures...

Sun was setting but still bright enough, during the day you can't even tell the light comes on.
