I was looking at the owners manual and coudn't find anything but most vehicles let you disabel the auto volume.
Is there a way to do it for the 04 Grand Prix. I just have the CD radio.

I can't stand it constantly turning up or down as I live in town with lots of traffic lights.

    TIA

Try looking under speed control volume.

On my pickup, you simply turn the ring around the volume knob and there's varying levels and off.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

you should be able to turn it off. like bill said. in my mothers fusion it can be accessed under "speed volume" in the menu. from there you can turn the volume knob to adjust it or turn it off. im sure its similar in the gp. on a side note i didnt know 04+s had speed volume, that awesome.

On mine there's a button under the knob for eq, fade, etc. that says Auto Vol and you push that and it toggles between off, low, med, and high.

I've never heard of speed volume before today. I'm glad mine wasn't turned on or I'd have gone nuts by now.
