Do the GP Trunks make hella rattle with a sub in the trunk? (In other words, does it need to be dynamatted?)

Are there any issues with GP's other then the lower voltage issue, that should be compensated with when running a 1000-1500w RMS / 5000w peak sub?

    thanks,

    Cory

When I had the 2 Squares vented, the trunk was horrible. I dynamated most the trunk so it's not an issue anymore but god was it bad. As far as issues, besides my mistake in purchasing all Kicker I have not had much trouble. Just make sure you have the right size wire and I wouldnt see any issues. just my .02 though

How did you deaden the back. I have 2 15's MA Audio's and they rattle the hell out of the trunk. Should I use the spray on stuff for the trunk and than cover with a layer of rammat or just rammat? Also what size is your box because I won't be able to get my 15's out again unless I cut them out.

how does trunk matting work anyway? I just figured putting a small rubber seal around the parts that rattle or somethin did the trick. *shrugs*

I guess you can just do that. But putting deadening around everything makes it sound so much better though. Doesn't allow the sound waves to escape so easily.

So, I am guessing matting is not going to really be worth it haha I have a 1500w@2ohms Class D JBL Amp and a Pierce Audio WMD 10" Sub 1000w RMS 5000w Peak so I should be getting some great rattle

I'm hopin to get a nice alpine deck very soon, I missed out on a great deal for alpines top of the line deck CDA-9887 it went for $199 with the ipod cable so I was kinda depressed that happened

make sure u wire that thing right...thats alot of power on one 10" sub...i know if u bridge it, the cone is sure to fall right on its face....!

as far as trunk rattle, i'm pushing some pretty nice power and only problems i have is my rearview mirror and my license tag beats pretty bad (can easily fix, too lazy)..but my GP holds the bass really well, considering how most of the cars around here sound...
