Well, the title pretty much explains it, I want to attempt to make an enclosure that will actually fit my car ('05 GP GT), hold two 12" Rockford Fosgate T2's (unless anyone has better recommendations), and is tuned low.
And when i mean low, I mean no higher than 30Hz, maybe a tad lower. My current box housing two 12" RF P3's is tuned between 33Hz-38Hz (very steep roll off after 33Hz), and I really want to get some new subs that both play MUCH louder, and hit any low note you throw at it (except for maybe like, organ notes). There have only been a few songs that my subs struggle with, but as a bass head this annoys me regardless...
Power shouldn't be a problem, I've already got a good HO alternator, as well as a dry cell up front and a second in back isolated, powering a 1400 watt rms amp -> Amazon.com: Massive Audio N3 Mono Block Amplifier 1400w x 1 RMS @ 1 ohm: Car Electronics Puts out it's rated power in spite of its tiny size. I figured get another battery and a second one of these amps, and run each T2 off of a separate amplifier.
So overall I'm just very worried about constructing the box, because even if I can get it to fit, it's going to have to be an odd shape and I've never built my own ported box before.
Again, if anyone has any better recommendations, especially if it lowers the size of my box, it's greatly appreciated. I'd settle for one T2 as long as it's still louder than my two P3's, I just want louder and lower :D
