So I changed the rear deck speakers of my 2006 Grand Prix base (3800 v6) and believe me it was a pain! I did it without removing the back seats just fold down. So I had a friend help me run lines then installed speakers. We put everything back but then noticed that we forgot to screw in the speakers! (their drop ins from the trunk). Would it be okay if I leave them as is or is it necessary to remove everything up and screw in the speakers?

Yes, when I access the trunk and i push the speaker up they feel lose but their stopped by the deck.

    thanks.

I would have to imagine the slightest bass would cause them to do a lot of rattling if they aren't in place.

Worse part about it, I have the bass cranked at 6+ and I still don't hear any rattling, I guess my bass sucks.

it takes like 5 mins to undo the seat and the rear deck to get to the speakers
the hardest part is fitting in the back seat of the coupe

Its base model and its a 2006. So taking out the mouldings on the side is not necessary? Also, I am using Boss speakers 6x9 on the back, i am getting no rattling for bass and yet i feel like i should be getting more power in the speakers. Is it the speakers, connection or location of the where the speakers are at?

    thanks
