So here's the deal, I have two 12" Kicker Comps (8 ohms) in a ported box. The Max Watts Peak is 300 and the Max RMS is 150. I need help with choosing the right amplifier for these subs. Can someone point me in the right direction of choosing an accurate and slightly affordable amp to power these subs? Thanks!

Do you have any suggestions as to what brand or model of amp I should get? I'm totally lost on what amp to purchase.

Could you provide model numbers of the hardware in question?

In terms of music, majority of the information is in your mid-range. However, it's not noticed as much as the impact you get from adding a subwoofer. Remember, that the sound of your sub is shaped by the mid-range response in your vehicle.

As long as you setup and install correctly I'd grab anything that puts out around 300 watts. In car audio, power specs are bogus. The goal is to get a good strong power supply in the amplifier.

Here's a great deal and has some flexibility in terms of use...
