Ok I'm looking at polk db6105 component speakers....

they are rated at 100 w rms.

Im looking at a pioneer 9500 amp that runs 75w x 4 at 4 ohms

Can these two be put together or no?

I am going to be running them with a pioneer 4300 head unit and will not be adding a sub

Absolutely. There's no need to run 100rms to your interior speakers without a sub to be honest, unless you just want ridiculous mids and highs. 75rmsx4 is a BIG change from stock... I'm sure you'll be more than happy.

One still slow and loud... other one scoots just a bit.

i will only add not to say the pioneer amp is bad they just lack the amount of control u can have over your highs an mids. I myself have worked in a high end stereo shop an pioneer amplifiers just suck imo if u can look for something a little bit better in the price range if you are purchasing brand new but the power rating is a good match. in my gtp i have 6 1/2 infinit kappa perfects front an rear component sets with a fosgate 3 1/2 also in my rear just for more vocals my mid bass is great using a eclipse double din an orion xtr 4 channel it sounds awesome no subs my mids make up for the lack in bass

Amount of control? Do you mean the crossover network? I doubt he is going very deep into this aspect of it, although his head unit does have a rather robust crossover network built into it. It's by no means outstanding, but it should work out fine for his needs. The crossover would also only matter on the rear speakers, as the Polk components come packaged with their own passive crossovers for each side. This will work fine, since he didn't express a desire to go active.

Check out this amp. The Q series is suppose to be a good line of amps from MB Quart. Its cheaper than the pioneer amp you picked out as well.

Not all of MB Quarts amps are good. If your not getting their Discus, Q series, or Onyx then its best to buy a different brand. How nice of an amp are you looking for or do you plan on ever upgrading speakers in the future? Another great brand often overlooked is Audioque.

    This amp is very nice.

I never heard of any of their amps having problems. I run the AQ 4x90 and I love it. It's more than the OP's budget though, but worth it

The pioneer you initially linked to will work just fine. It will do rms, and will definitely be loud with those Polks. I ran a set of the db 5.25" coax speakers on a zx350.4 @ 4 ohms, so approx. 55 watts rms, and they kept up with my sub with NO problem.

yeah the pioneer is not a bad amplifier it just isnt a great choice especially if the price isnt really competitive just look around rockford fosgate just released a new piece i have seen it on the net for starting around 160 to about 269 an the size is very tiny it can fit in the dash or underneath one of the front seats so he really gets a stealthy look but a kick a** sound and it is very strong i plan on purchasing two of them for my ride when im ready to change my sounds but the speakers r perfect as far as the cross over built into the amplifier it is alwasy need due to the driver side of the components still need to set to play a certain level of sound so as too much bass do not ruin the speakers just a heads up which u probabl;y already kno

The headunit that the OP is using has a built in adjustable HPF (High Pass Filter), which will allow him to avoid running his components any lower than he chooses to... thus, the amplifier's onboard crossover network isn't of great importance in his particular situation.

Huh? You do realize that Pioneer has some SPL world championships under their belt right? Can he get better for the same money? Possibly.... does he need to spend more than the amount for this amp when there is no sub involved? No... I understand there being better available, but Pioneer not making great equipment is, imo, false. It's just that most people won't pay for the great, aka top-of-the-line, pioneer equipment... the stage 4 product line. I sure as hell won't lol.

those spl subs are no where near top of the line anymore. I run comp's, and trust me not many pioneer. Also im talking about amps, not subs. There amps are garbage unless you spend the big bucks, so trying to buy low end chinease pioneer is dumb imho.

the mb quart will be a better buy and the aq and cadence are korean made and much better quality.

I can also sell him a orion hcca225 which will blow them away also. or an old school cadence q-400 for 40 bucks shipped made in the usa.

also you can call steve mantz at zed audio, makerds of some of the best sq equipment, us acoustics etc. He has overstock of some boss audio equipment he made for boss that boss decided it didnt want to pay for and went cheap back in 1999. its the same exact amp as the us acoustic usx-4065

65watts but rated at 12vs and not 14 like amps nowadays. and very low distortion .01.

    US acoustics USX-4065 65W x 4 Car Amplifier - Features & Specs at Crutchfield.com
