what year is the regal? I mean you could probably wire something up to have them stay on..but its probably not worth the time and effort

Weird year of regal I guess cause my 98 never did that. Ide imagine you could wire there power switching system similar to that of an amplifier and use a turn on wire much like an amplifiers turn on wire to make then stay on for as long as whatever you use for the 12v turn on source, depends on how the car powers them since I haven't looked into this. If its controlled by a circuit board it won't be easy. If its controlled like a solonoid connector or relay box that doesn't complete the circuit you could wire the circuit completion wire or control wire to power the solonoid and then run that to something in your car that stays on while the car is off for a few minutes, say the interior lights, or possibly the stereo though that will make them shut off when you open the door.

All Regals 97-04 had twilight sentinal enabled from the factory. It would be possible to change that with a Tech2 and or possibly reading the owners manual.

Was also on all Bonnevilles that came with the twilight ring around the headlight switch (92-99) then was a knob 00-05

Have you looked at your owners manual to see about enabling the feature? It may be an easy programmed feature, just like flash on lock/unlock of doors with the fob.

Don't tell me that's another GP deficiency.

It's ok.. you have a GP. It's a featureless, wannabe sporty car. Step up to a Regal or Bonneville and you'll have all the features GP's never got.

In the GP's defense I had a 98 W body regal with almost every option accept the GS package and the sunroof.... the only things I can think of that it had that my current GP doesn't have was auto dimming mirrors, defrosting mirrors, back doors and the part I loved the most the huuuuge cubby hole under the AC controls that I honestly could house everything in ever inside of, kept like 3 pairs of sunglasses and a GPS in there at all times. Asside from the the suspension was a lot squishier, as were the seats which also had heated driver and passenger rather than just heated driver, and the concert 2 sound system wasn't as good as the bose my GP has. Otherwise, my stereo and AC controls are the exact same as my Regals were, the seats are electric on both cars, now the back seats those were different, granted I went from the 4 door regal to my two door GP. Things my GP has that my 98 regal didn't. Steering wheel contols, Heads up display, a button in the glove box that opens my trunk, polished aluminum wheels, dual exhaust, bose sound system (which isn't amazing but is better than concert 2). I will say some days I miss the sheer couch like feel my Regal seemed to have, like driving around in a big lounge chair with wheels lol
