Where can I get one that works with the OEM amp? Everywhere I look it says works only with GP's without OEM amps. I want to retain my center and rear deck speakers for awhile. Anyone got a link or can order one? Btw I really dont car about chimes so thats not an issue

I've been looking around also and like you haven't found anything yet. I'm not going to give up on it. Somebody has to have it. Have you tried getting in touch with crutchfield yet? Looked on there website and they were only showing for the basic hook ups. There is alot of times, they won't advertise the product, but if you call, they'll usually have it or can tell you where to get it. But, I'll keep looking on my end also.

Are you using the regular one din radio? If so, the dash kit would be the only thing that would worry me because it doesn't look like it comes with any filler panels and would cause your radio to flop around. You could pick up a single din dash kit, but that seems to be alot of money to have to buy an additional dash kit. Let me check a couple things and I'll get back to you in a few minutes.

To me it sounds like a winner. Are you going to be running a sub box and seperate amp?

Yea, the only reason I want it is to use the rear deck and center channel on the factory amp for now. I have the front stage on the SX700.4. Eventually I will go all aftermarket amps around but for now want to use the factory amp.

Sounds like a good plan. You never lnow though, your highs might turn out to sound awsome just being on the factory amp. Had mine ran that way for a little while, but I didn't have a fac amp, just ran the highs off the HU and had my subs. Didn't sound bad, but there is always a time for upgrades. Let me know how it turns out for you and if there is anything else that I may be able to help you with, let me know.

Just wondering if anyone could link OEM kits for the wire harness 04+ GP's in this thread. I've been looking through a lot of websites and found a couple but still unsure as to the quality. One of them has no reviews I can find and no detailed specs and the other has mixed reviews with word of battery drainage.

Scosche Gmos2b11 : Mobile Video Accessories / Mobile Av (no reviews)
GM Factory Integration Adapter General Motors Class II data bus interfaceRetains ONSTAR system, factory door chime, and Bose system with aftermarket radio at Crutchfield.com (battery problems and popping)

If anyone has done installs to a '08 GXP or even an '07 with Bose and OnStar please throw up any advice you have. It seems most websites list any DDIN units as unuseable in the 08 GXP but this thread seems to tell otherwise.

I am planning on getting a Pioneer DEH-P9800BT for use but if it's true that a double unit fits then I might go with something else.

Looking to keep the steering wheel controls but that is a secondary issue and I've only seen one unit (little information on it) for doing this, any feedback on the device or other kits that do this as well would be great.

Scosche Industries : Car Audio Accessories, iPod Accessories, Bluetooth Wireless Accessories, EFX Hyperformance, Accumat Sound Damping, Soundkase audio backpacks, CD and DVD storage systems

    Thanks!
