Has anyone found a good GPS Air Vent Mount for a 2004+ Grand Prix. Our air vents are certainly not normal so it's been hard to find one that will work right. I'm also looking into a metal bracket attachment so if anyone has already gone through this hastle of finding a GPS Mount, please provide mount types/company/model and how you made it work. Thanks!!!

can't use the suction cup in the center of the dash, cause of my radar detector. Only other place would be far left, but I have the traffic receptor as well, so i'd have the wire exposed along the top of my dash running across to it. Don't want that, best place would be on the center air vent next to the driver information display.

my gps came with a disk that you glue (peel and stick) to the dash and then use the suction cup thing on that, if its permanent why not?

I'd hate to permanently fix something to the dash. Prefer something that I can use in multiple cars. Also, would still have the same problem, blocking the radar detector or would have to be on the far left and then the cord would have to lay across the dash

you need to mount the radar and the gps on the same mount off the windshield. theres got to be a twin mount some where.

I think I found a product that will work. Bracketron makes metal brackets (among other things) that mount right off of the screws that hold the stereo/radio in place. Then the metal bends around where the dash panel hooks in and projects out towards the right side of the radio. That's where you can connect the GPS or whatever other device you have. Stays out of the windshield & air vents. And is still high enough and easy enough to see without having to take your eyes off the road for too long. Makes running the cord easier and should work well. Beats using a regular map. I'll see if I can post pictures once it's done.
