ok I feel like a dumbass, but I havent messed with a stereo in like 10 years, Im looking at getting a pair of 10inch bostons and some boston amps. I was looking at the specs for the amps and I would assume that If I bought a 2 channel amp I would hook up one sub per channel.

This is what the specs are:

    Number of Channels
    2-channel

    Multi-Ch. Power @ 4-ohm (12.6VDC)
    2x200W

    Multi-Ch. Power @ 2-ohm (12.6VDC)
    2x350W

    Dual-Mono Power @ 4-ohm(12.6VDC)
    1x700W

    Dual-Mono Power @ 2-ohm (12.6VDC)
    1x1100W

By looking at this information I am also assuming that I would be generating 200w per channel. Correct? Would I be better off bridging the two subs? I would assume that would give me 350w at 2 ohms?

And how are they getting the dual mono powers?

Not sure what dual-mono is but it looks to me like if you run two 4ohm subs parallel you would get 550watts to each sub in the "dual-mono" 2ohm mode. If I'm reading this right lol.

yea im not sure how they are getting it. I would assume that by running two 4ohm subs in parallel would give me a 2ohm load resulting in 350w per sub me thinks?

Hmm...just writing that makes me think...I suppose by doing that it would be mono since there would be no left or right. but that would be only one speaker according to sheet. So maybe my original assumption was right.

According to the specs 2ohm mono would be 550 each. If the specs are right.
