    Hey Guys

I have the Passport 8500 x50. I just bought the direct wire to have it wired to the car. The place I brought it to was unable to get the radar to work with the wire connected to the car's accessory power.

I have an 04 gtp compg

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Are you sure you have a good ground? D
Did you have the key to the on position? Are you getting power to the module?

See I don't know... He said he tried my wire and a different direct wire and it still wouldn't work. Its a audio place. He said something like it was only at 4 volts...and who knows. I mean I guess the setup I have isn't terrible. I was just trying to have clean lines. I just have a longer cord connected to the lighter plug in the middle council. He probably didn't have a good ground. who knows. He didn't charge me, so that is nice.

I wired mines in off of the ignition on and it should be 12v so that just sounds like he didn't know what he was doing should of took seconds to hook it up

He should have gone to the ignition lines as Jteske stated. Or at very least check for a switched 12v at the fuse box. There should be a pink wire in the ignition wiring which he can tap into
