I have a stock HU and when I put a cd in it the error code is E20 what does that mean? And what do I have to do to fix it? Thanks.

its probably shot or the disc is screwed up get a kenwood headunit =]
e20 is an error code, try another disc, if it gives the same code, the cd mechanism is bad more than likely (usually a sensor goes out)
And if it is the sensor or reader in the stock disc player, it would cost an arm and a leg to fix. You are best off either finding another stock unit off eBay or contact Ed Morad to see if he has any. Or buy an aftermarket unit.
i had the same thing happen to me today. i tried playing a burned cd and it came up with the error20 and spit the disc out. tried a regular cd (store bought) and it worked fine. i tried the burned cd in the house and it played fine on the home theater.![]()
some burned CDs play OK in the stock decks, some do not. depends mostly on the foil used inside the burned disc
good to know. might try some better cd's tomorrow
