Thread: Pioneer DEH-6000UB Receiver, need help

I replaced the stock GM receiver with a Pioneer DEH-6000UB about 2 years ago, it has a whip on it that extends into the glove box that allows one to plug in a USB stick to play .mp3 files downloaded from home.

The problem is about 1 out of every 7 or 8 albums won't play, I can see the album folder and the songs up on the receivers display but when I hit play, it simply won't play them.

I checked the Pioneer site, I read the manual over a number times and there seems to be no reason why certain albums play and others don't.

I know this isn't pontiac related but if someone can give me a clue as to what might be happening, I would really appreciate it.

Only thing I can think of is the format

Hmm, of my 850 albums all are 320kbps .mp3 except for about 20 albums that are .flac.

The current album in question may be .flac but I don't think so and in the past when I still had the problem all my albums at that time were 320kbps .mp3.

The unit will play 320kbps .mp3 but not .flac
