Alright, so a couple weeks ago I installed my Infinity Kappa 692.9i's on the rear deck. I wired them up and tested them out, and when I max the volume they cut out when there's more bass than normal, like a kick, drop, etc (my EQ is set to +4, 0, +4 on bass, mid, treb respectfully), and they never kicked as well as I know they should. I have a friend who has the 693.9i's (the 3-way brother of my 2-ways) and a friend who has the same as mine, and have heard them both on stock HU's and aftermarket decks, both sound good.

So today I cut the crossovers off, hoping to alleviate the issue. Terrible idea right? I can, and probably will, just wire them back up. My friend cut the crossovers off his 2-ways (friend with the 3-ways has no issues though) and they sounded better afterwards. All in all, I just wanna know what in the flying **** is going on with my speakers -- these should definitely work and sound better than the stockers. I doubt the base factory HU is driving more power than they can handle, but you never know.

I'd assume a GT2 has Monsoon. Also, if it is Monsoon, your ears have to be dying from that treble level.

It's just a base stereo, not Monsoon. I'm probably gonna end up putting the crossovers back on when I get home tonight, and I'll try wiring them a little different to make sure 100% the connections are good.
