Hello there guys, so as it goes now, I'm heading for a full Alpine audio set up.

Also, take in note that I'm Canadian.
Car model : 2000 Grand Prix GT

    What I currently have:
Alpine SPE-5000, got them for 50$ brand new.

What I'm looking to get this week:
Alpine SPS-609 for the rear deck, 99.99$
Alpine CD-121 for the actual Stero, 149.99$ (With mounts)

Are there any other alpine speakers that would be good too, in that price range? Or mainly another stereo?

Also, any good alpine amp, not too expansive, but enough good to power two 10" Alpine, still, sub woofers.

I'm asking for ideas and opinions.

I really can't help with the advise since i have been using Image Dynamics for about 8 years and don't know what Alpine has anymore.

I would like to congratulate you for installing quality components rather than Pioneer or Sony. I used Alpine back in the day and still like it.

I'm a bit of an Audiophile, which is why I really do not want to cheap out on the audio system, while I am aware that I'm not heading for the best of the best, I do know that I'm heading for a brand that is good, and that many like.

And well, thank you I guess.

Looking back at it, 262$ with the taxes and shipping, I can get the SPS-609 and the CD-121. Kind of a good price I think, opinions?

Supposedly their SPX-pro series uses a vifa xt19 variant. It's only good on axis. I don't think I'd recommend much beyond that. I just got rid of an Alpine deck due to some response issues that weren't just in my vehicle, but VERY noticeable on a sound board as well. I'd like to point out that Pioneer has some very nice speakers and head units.

I'm a fan of a warm/laid back sound with nice detail. I can't say I've listened to any of their current line up but I'd probably refrain from upgrading the rear deck until last. Install is going to be most important. Even $5 speakers can sound phenomenal if install takes into account speaker strengths/weaknesses; ask the guy who designed orb speakers.
