I bought some 6 1/2 spaekers for my car but they dont fit my car, i was wondering if anyone knew what speakers do fit, and sound good.

make the 6.5's fit, they'll sound better.
Though apparently 6 3/4's will fit.

He wants you to make custom brackets to fit a 6.5" speaker in a 5.5" opening. If you ever want to find out what speakers fit in a car, just use crutchfield!

its cuz the 6.5 are to big and the 5.25 are to small. idk ive already called the audio shops around me, but they said any spaeker should fit.

No idea. Maybe your trying to use a brand of speakers that have different speaker mounts or have weird sizing, thats the only thing I can come up with.

I put in a pair of Pioneer 6.5" in my 04 and they fit right in. Mounting holes lined up and everything.

04+ are 6.5"/6.75"
We have this weird plastic speaker baffle thing for our doors. However, not all speakers that are classified as 6.5" ARE actually that measurement or utilize the same spacing for mounting holes. Few speakers will screw in exactly in the same spot as the OEM speakers. You make them fit

The stock pieces didn't exactly fit for my 6.5's so me and my buddy just ghetto rigged them and cut out enough around the edges to squeeze them in. probably not the most professional way but it ended up working fine.
