The big blug hanging is aplug for the base level DIC or vice versa so can be tucked away. The little plug is one that goes into the back of the factory deck but i dont think it needs to be hooked up.

now with the hanging wires, whoever installed the deck didnt buy the correct adapter and just cut them up and wired direct. The best thing to fix this mistake would be to find a factory radio plug in the junkyard and splice it in and soldering the connections then buying the proper wiring adapter to go from the stock plug to the wires on the aftermarket headunit.

Im looking at a plug here that i used for testing factory decks and splicing it in should be straight forward matching the colors however there are some where two or more wires are the same color.

You will ahve to use a meter to determine which ones are for the speakers then use the process of elimination for the rest of the unknown wires, I will include a pic of the factory radio plug for reference.

On this site youll see the connector views for the factory plugs as in these cars.

although it says connector 1 and connector 2 the are both attached so they look like one when you look at one in the car. Most gm's of this year range have these plugs so theyd be pretty easy to find.
