Got an 06 Grand Prix GT with the monsoon system and I want to replace all the door speakers. Does anyone know the correct sizes that go in the door? Also it looks like a 3 1/2 on top of the dash???? Anyone know the correct size of it as well? Thanks for any help!!!!

the front door speakers are component speakers, seperate woofer and tweeter FYI

you cant just install speakers in the monsoon system. they are all component speakers, you either have to live with the monsoon or trash the whole thing, see the amp is a crossover in itself.

if you dont plan on re doing a major system with component speakers etc, id just keep the monsoon stock, its a nice sounding system, all i would do is change the center 3.5

Most people can't hear the difference between a $3(bose) speaker and a $1000 speaker. True story. Install is the key.

Btw...some of bose home audio raw drivers really are ~$3, I wasn't exaggerating.

it is in the install, dynamat the doors. etc. i have heard people take out the monsoon system and the new speakers are not as nice. I would def not do anything unless its a nice install you are doing

theres more to a system then just the speakers, tuning, crossovers, resanance of the car. gm did a lot of research and the monsoon sound spretty f'ing good

like i said i would keep iot stock and get rid of the bad center speaker. its a 3.5
