Sorry to thread jack but I have a Sony 420-IP with an Ipod cable built in. I am not that familiar with Ipods and am planning on getting one. My question is do they all have the same port for the cable on them. I just want a simple one like the nano or something.
Oh. So basically everyone has an aftermarket head unit? My car is a limited edition so I was wanting to keep it stock for now. I might just go with a Pyle PLMD9 inline fm transmitter. I have one from a car I used to own
seriously matt? were your audio files 320kbps? do some google searching, i know you can take apart your deck and hardwire a 3.5mm headphone jack to allow you to use it rather than your input function. i'm not entirely sure if that's accurate, but i know something of the sort is workable. if you can't find that article or don't have the know-how, go with a transmitter. usually the amount of money spent directly influences quality.
out of 5 or 6 that i have owned, this dlo was the best for sound quality, hands down.
Just researching ipod option as well for 2000 Pontiac Grandprix with bose system single cd - seems it also lacks the aux/cd changer function. BigBadjohn & others - I am curious if you found a non-fm solution? Seems like all the forum posts with alternatives require cd changer/aux input on back of radio. Thanks!
I threw it in the trash can because it was garbage.
The iPod that is.
What does bitrate have to do with it?
The thing was stuck in the eternal reboot mode.
ohhh i was under the impression you didn't like the SQ.
i've went through a couple with the reboot and dead batteries. the first gen click wheel was the worst. had that thing refurb'ed like 5 times before i upgraded a few years ago.
i was going to buy this to listen to music with my iPhone
Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter - Apple Store (U.S.)
idk if it works or not but here tis. apple sells it and my buddy said it'd work sooo
Adapters - 1995+ GM Radio Auxiliary Input Adapter: PIE GM9-AUX (RCA)
This works in the following applications, but ONLY for radios that have the 9-pin auxiliary plug on the back AND are capable of controlling a remote CD player (single or multi). This does NOT mean it will work for you just because your radio has the 9-pin plug. For starters, your radio must have a TAPE AUX or CD AUX button OR you must already have a factory remote CD player.
anyone know of a deck that has at LEAST 5 lines and could support a USB HDD?
