Thread: 2004 grand prix 1/2 din radio?

i am looking to get a aftermarket head unit(1/2 din size) but not all fit because some are deeper then others.6 inch deep is what fits.

The tech. at crutchfield told me that some 1/2 din units are 6.25 inches deep.
My question is has anybody modified the depth of the radio pocket to fit a deeper radio?

i asked this question because a few head units that i like are the deeper ones.
