    Viper 160xv not responding?

I have an issue. I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I purchased used and the dealer did not have any idea about the alarm system. It is a Viper 160XV which i cannot get into programming mode or anything i have tried Alot of things that i have found using google. The stock alarm still functions as does the stock remote door lock/unlock. When i press the buttons on the Viper FOB all i get is an arm single light of the parking lights or a disarm two flashes with the parking lights.

I have read that it might be locked out and need reprogramming with a Bitwriter i read this in the user instillation manual. Was wondering if there was or is anyone out there with this same setup or at least the same problems that i am having.

    Any help is appreciated.

I recently installed a 5901, not familiar with your part number, but heck..they are likely very much the same.

it sounds like you are trying to get the lock/unlock working? This could be as simple as checking the auxiliary power fuse and connection going to the alarm. I forget the color, but you should be able to look it up on the baby datasheet if you can find it on the internet. Colors should be the same as mine, holler if you can't find it.

Is there something else you are hoping to do with it? Siren/honk or something? Likely that is the same fuse/power.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
