Okay, well I am posting this here, as it is electrical.

It is not necessarily audio, but electrical I would say is the closest subforum.

Plus I figure with aftermarket audio most of us have aftermarket alarms.

    That said...

Most of you know my audio setup. I also have one of those cool-a$$ Vipers with the remote start and glass sensors.

So, what is going on lately is this:

I'll be driving down the road and the locks click off and on. Sometimes they actually unlock. It's very weird.

Used to be an occasional thing. But now it's pretty much every morning. Almost like she's saying, Hi, I'm here. Let's go to Starbucks, Mom.

I only notice it in the morning. It's really very strange.

So, is it the Viper. Or is it a glitch in the Pontiac electrical system.

The Viper I have a lifetime warranty on, but you know if I roll in there, those guys will be like wtf. If it's Pontiac, which I must say it took them some time to bypass her original system with all the add on goodies 9 years ago, is it the beginning of something very very bad?

Mind you, I STILL have the original stock alternator (plus 189K miles). I'm wondering if this might be the source of her evil this time around, though it still says all systems go on the meter.

I could list my mods, but Sideways has an ungodly list. I dare not try to compete.

Moisture from where? I'm not being sarcastic either. I just can't imagine moisture inside the car, without it affecting all the audio I have, too.

are the moisture barriers in the doors? I see you say it's in the morning (that's why I'm thinking moisture) the humidity in the air may be doing it

Maybe. I'm sure after 9 years it's probably time to redo the weatherstripping anyways...Thanks for the idea. I will check it out.
