I've never heard of a flicker relay..

Get yourself a RELAY Harness. It's only $10 online and will fix your HID problems. This is of course.. granted it's not a terrible quality kit.

A relay harness? Is there a certain one I have to get or are they universal?

They are pretty much all universal. I'm pretty sure you need to get the one that works with your bulb.. So if you're using a 9007 bulb you need a 9007 relay harness etc etc.

like nawarkk said get a relay harness so the power that the bulb is drawing is coming from the battery and not through the factory wiring cause if you do some research on the ballists you would find that they take some crazy huge voltage to start up sometimes. and i bet the flickering only happens during the day when the drls are on

I guess I could have researched it but considering that my friend got a set for his VW Passat and had no issues, and they are suppose to be plug and play pretty much didnt warrant me to look. This my first time putting these on any of the cars I own. I guess I know now!!! And for that matter the place where I got them should have said you will need to purchase a 9007 Relay Harness. Oh well you live and learn right? (I ordered the harness)

Relay harnesses arent hard to install, Ground the ground, hook the positive to the positive battery terminal, splice the signal wire, and attach to the bulb sockets.

Oddly enough, when I put my HID Lowbeams in my projectors, they werent worth ****, took the harness out, and bam, work perfectly.

    Just some food for thought

wait so ur HID's worked better with a re-wired harness?

I just installed my lows today and I already notice, my 6k's are no brighter than my silvania ultras :\ ... kinda disappointing but the cool blue color is great.

Yeah, mine worked way better without the relay harness.

Theres a problem if your HIDs are as bright as halogens, they should be MUCH brighter. *mine are also 6k*

You could make your own, $5 for a relay + cost of connectors and time.

But you'd need to perma-mod your stock wiring harness.

well, I had Silverstars in mine for lowbeams, and they were okay, brightness was about a 3 (1-10).

Put the HIDs in and they are now about 12 (1-10)

They are extremely bright. All I can say is, make sure you dont have a weak ground or power connection.

hrm...are you headlights hazed any? Because my 6ks make everything extremely bright. For example, the yellow divider line on roads almost appears almost white/cream colored.

yes, I have slight oxidation, but I think my trouble lies beyond oxidation. and there was no divider on that particular road, traffic was bad tonight so I had to pick a real-boonie road, sorry I didn't get that but I got the stop sign.

but do you guys see why I'm not that impressed?

Got any idea what the voltage is at? Looks like you have a voltage or ground problem or both...........

Miltimeter is your friend go check the alt.
