Alright, i just replaced my stock speakers in the rear deck with two 6X9 Pioneer TS-A6963R, and it sounds great. My problem is now i gotta change the speakers in the doors lol they're rattling a bit. I figured out how to put the back deck ones in by taking out the seat and everything.

But does anyone know how to take out the speakers in the doors? not the tweeters, the main door speakers. Also, should i go with new pioneers for the doors to match the back or does it matter?

remove the two bolts behind the handle then pull.

    rest is self explanatory.

You can, but it wont matter much.

See that middle part of the door handle that seems to have a "border" around it? Find a very small device of sorts that will allow you to "pry" it off; without causing damage of course. Underneith you'll find two bolts. I typically use a small hobby screw driver or pick.

Under the door handle you should see two plastic "plugs", take a flat head and pop them out... you will see one torx 30 screw in each whole. Unscrew those and then start prying the door panel off (it helps to pull the door handle, as if you were opening the door, to wiggle the panel off... youll see)
On the back of the 5 1/4 youll see wires from your head unit plugged in, and wires leading up to the tweeter... whatever wire from the head unit goes to the red wire (is your positive) and the other wire from the head unit if your (-). The colours are different for either door.

I did this last week.. I spliced in my tweeter wires into the headunit wires then wired it into my coaxial 5 1/4's, so as to keep my stock tweets.

    i'll add my 2 cents.
what matt meant when he said it won't matter much is that the interior of a grand prix is made of plastic that would be rejected from a chinese toy factory. even the cheap walmart stuff (that i also have, pioneer's coincidentally) will make every last plastic clip rattle horribly. so if you were thinking about dropping a lot of money on some nice speakers to go in the stock locations, save it. and ithe rattling gets worse the more you pull the door panel off, so try to get it right the first time and quite literally save yourself a headache.

i'd also recommend hooking your stock tweeters back up. i've since blown mine, but it was nice for awhile

If u replace your door speakers dynamat them. The kit is very expensive but it is well worth it. The cheap stuff don't work half as good as the real dynamat. Door Kit It is great stuff look up reviews of it everyone will say cheap "imitation dynamat" is worthless as tits on a bore. Regardless the price on the website is high-end price u can find a few websites with door kits starting at about 70 bucks. Haven't checked e-bay might find a good deal there. (edit) Found some product on e-bay called fatmat talked to a few ppl about it and they said it is pritty decent for about half the price might buy there bulk 100sqft pack lol need some for the car

Alright i got the door figured out, now what's people's opinion on matching the door speakers to my new Pioneer deck speakers? should i match it? is that better than no matching?

Matching wont matter. Just the pioneers since they seem to be in your budget.

Adding that crap to the door will only help so much.

If you add mass to one panel, then the other side will rattle.

If you add equal mass to both sides then it might work out, but you're still doing it wrong since no speaker likes a leaky enclosure.
