<First Post> Hey whats up pontiac peoples, I have an '06 GP and im looking to play music through my ipod through my speakers (Monsoon). I want to keep the factory head unit and also want my steering wheel controls to function properly. I went to Best Buy to look to see what they have but I was lost in all of translation so I'd rather see what you guys have to say about my situation.

What components should I buy for this operation?...Thanks.

i have an 06 as well and bought an auxiliary input adapter from crutchfield.com. it was only like $55. you will also need a rca to 3.5 mm adapter (amazon.com). I believe crutchfield also sells something that allows you to keep your steering wheel controls for like $60

Precision Interface Electronics GM12-AUXv2 Connect a portable music player, satellite radio tuner, or DVD player to your factory GM receiver at Crutchfield.com this is what i have and it works great. your steering wheel controls will work as normal with this installed

gm sells a GMPAL(personal audio link) it runs thru the xm2 part of the factory radio. you can use the wheel controls and the radio controls to browes playlists and song titles. also can use direct control of ipod/iphone, this way you can use pandora or what ever your like.
    has rca inputs also.

    cost about $150.
    direct plug and play.

    hope that helps.
