I'm already promised to get a summer job at my stepdad's tattoo shop, and they said they're gonna help me pay for a stereo upgrade. I want to move on from my two Kicker 12's and move up to some BTL's in a ported box. The box I have right now for my Kicker's measures 32" x 16" x 16" (12" square with a slope in the back for mounting the amp) with about 4 inches on the left side of it to put my emergency kit. I was thinking about removing the spare tire (stupid idea, but I have tire repair kits & my dad's usually a half an hour away if I need a spare) and putting a second (maybe third if space is available) battery. Box-wise, a ported box with whatever space necessary to fit, with a fiberglass cover on the bottom of the trunk for two amplifiers (one per sub) to go underneath (with adequate room for cooling). It's hard to describe, & it may be expensive, but what do you guys think?

First off, do you want to play the system when the car is off?

If no, then sell ALL your batteries cept the one under the hood for starting the car.

Spare tire removal.... why? Weight savings when you're going with BTL's? Ha right....

And why in the FVCK would you want to put your amps UNDER anything? They'll just suffocate.

Get them out in the air, if you're serious about BTL's consider some AIR FLOW via fans.

I think you're wasting your money.

BTL's are for comp use only. They sound like total dick when listening to music.

One note will be 10 times louder than all the rest.

btl's arent comp only!! there made for comps but can be used in daily pounding also... they are some what 1 noteish, i ran 1 15 ported 3.8cu ft tuned to 31hz and it got loud and sounded pretty good... they are POWER HUNGRY!! if your doing a 2sub setup, better have an xtra bat or 2 and atleast 3k to get'em move'n! LOL
could prolly be better off with one 15 fyi... or even go with BL series too...
