My sister bought a 98 GP GT about a year ago. Now I know these cars came with key fobs and while looking over the car we found the original key fob in the glove box. Did the check to see if it would work, changed the batteries and all and still nothing. Tried to reprogram it, still nothing. We ordered a few key fobs and all we could get it to do was pop the trunk and occassionally unlock a door if we were lucky. I noticed that her car has the same sticker that my Grand Am had when I had an automatic start installed. So I was wondering if I need to be checking to see if it is still hooked up or not and what to look for? Could the Auto-Start screw up the BCM even if it is disconnected. I know Theftlock II tends to have major problems with Auto-Starts. My mother had one and her car flash the security light and sometimes keep her car from starting. It took a lot of time to find out it was the Auto-Start causing the problem.

Thanks for any help,
Erik...
