Are the steering wheel controls for the radio supposed to light up with the dash lights on ? Are there bulbs in them ? And can they be changed ?

They dont get really bright, but they arent that dim either, they get about as bright as you gear selector in the center console does

well what if the volume and seek buttons don't seem to be working? i haven't tried it out with the stock radio as i haven't put it back in...[also, is there a good place to get replacement volume knob for that, cheap?]
but the buttons will work pushing down i feel it click but at the top its like its already down. so can u just pull the whole thing out and work with the buttons and see whats going on in there? any other suggestions?

    ????
Are you saying you have an aftermarket deck, and the buttons on your steering wheel dont work? because they wont work with anything other than the factory HU, unless you buy a special part for the aftermarket HU.

no no no. it doesn't have one in it at this point because the guy i JUST bought it from had an aftermarket deck. im saying that just pushin buttons on the wheel, it FEELS as if the up buttons on the seek and volume have no click to them. like they're stuck. so i was just wondering if i could pull it out somehow and see what's up

the buttons on mine dont really click, and they worked fine when I was running the stock HU.
but yes, if they are not working for you, it is easy to pull them out to have a look.

depends on the year of the car I think, and that might only be for the premium systems. not too sure, but try it. and if it dont work then call your nearest dealership and ask, because they should be able to tell you specifics for your car.....

P.S. how do i know if it's got bose premium? i have 6 speakers in the car. the radio doesnt have the equalizer though.
