ok , so my rear speakers arent working. swapped the factory deck out with one i got from someone on here , still no rear speakers. then put in a kenwood i got from a friend with the adapter already on it and it worked fine in his car. guess what..... still no rear speakers. is there a connection or juntion somewhere between the deck and the rear speakers that could be disconnected or am i missing something really obvious here ? fuse box list a place for a "rear amp" fuse but there isnt one there and its obvious one never went there (no metal contacts where the fuse goes in).

there is a harness next to the rears that could come loose, take a battery to the wires in the trunk (no it won't hurt them)

something must be loose between the radio and the speakers, only sure way to fix it is run new wires or trace the old ones

check the metal conectors behind the radio on the harness and the radio side, they could be either broken or loose and just making contact at random.

There is also pins thatpush nto the connector for the harness, you might want to check those and see if any are loose.

whats wierd is if the rear speakers are working when i start the car they will stay on no matter what , take the head unit out and shake it around while its powered up, move all the wires in the trunk , pull on the harness where it runs into the interior from the trunk , bumpiest roads i can find , figure 8's in a parking lot. if i start the car and they are off then they wont come on doing any of the above. i might be going crazy but it seems to decide if i'll have rear speakers or not when i start it.
