has anyone replaced the stock gauge faces with anything of a different color? I've been looking around for green and i've found a few links

Black Cat Custom Automotive - Pontiac Grand Prix Gauge Faces
97-03 Pontiac Grand Prix Gauge Faces from Alfa_Otto at Andy's Auto Sport
Pontiac Gauge Glow Dials and Custom Gauges by SpeedHut

the problem is i want green glow and a black face. the only one that has that is the first one, and they're $170 just for the speed/tach/etc assembly. and i want to do the HVAC panel and the DIC. anybody know of something cheaper or a better way to do it? pictures of somebody who has done this are also welcome.

I think green on black may be impossible to find, they just might not make them.. I have ones similar to the Alfa otto gauge silver/white reverse glow that i'll be installing this weekend. I found mine on ebay for $21 including shipping.

which is why i really don't wanna pay $170 for one. but i think a green interior would be pretty awesome. might look for a way to do this myself. too bad that green is a primary light color or it would be as simple as putting a different color lightbulb in.

i have one on my car it sucks. had to run power to it and if it gets too hot or cold it bends. not a big deal till the it tells you ur doing 60 because the needle is stuck on it and the heads up tells you ur doing 85. i got the white one with blue for about 16 and a cover thats black that goes over everything but where the needles are, not bad but i had to glue it down to stop it from bending, not worh it if you ask me

Installed today like I said, took a little while, but I do enjoy the change.

With it turned off, just to show how little (if any) old red shows through

On with the dial turned to the lowest setting

On with the dial turned up all the way

    Looks good with the deck

I don't know, I am partial to the original (at least in mine) red guages, never had red guages before. It looks fine but I don't think it looks that good with the HVAC and stering wheel buttons in red. Just my 2 cents but it is diff and well installed

I liked the red at first, but after my deck install..wanted to break up the lop sided redness a little more. Ive only had it in one day, we'll see how I feel in a couple more weeks/months.

i like it man. i wouldn't have that gauge in particular but i like the change. the red's lost it's intensity to me, i want something new. i don't feel like it's rice, more attention to detail haha. if every mod that didn't make the car go faster was considered rice, then we'd lose things like rims, HID's, projector headlights, lowering springs, exhaust tips...
