Hey Guys, I have a 2006 GXP with about 34K miles. About a week ago, the factory Monsoon radio decided it didn't want to work consistantly anymore. Most of the time when we turn the car on, the radio display is dead and there's no sound. After driving for awhile, the display will normally come back on and eventually the sound will start working too. When everything is "off" I can still add or remove CDs (6-disk changer), but if I take out all the CDs then I get a consistant and annoying beeping noise from the dash. When everything is working like it should, there is no beeping noise when there are no CDs.

Has anybody heard of this problem? I'm hoping to avoid needing a new radio; Hopefully there's an easy fix. Thanks for the help!

It more than likely is the radio. I work for a GM dealer, if you get me you vin number and the part number off the back of the radio i could get you a price, and it might be under warrenty.

Although it sounds like the radio is done, I would try removing the fuse for the radio for a minute and try it again, if that dont work try the battery.
Sometimes having no electricity clears random glitches like that.

Twice with two different grand prixs the keyless entry stopped responding, even tryed resynching the remotes and only after I removed the fuse and put back in did it work perfect again.
