I have a 99 GT. I see that Bose was an option for 99 and up til 03 I think. Will the Bose work for my car, which doesn't have Bose or Onstar? Is it the same 6 speaker set up? Will it work? Some people are saying I should just get the original Bose for my GP since Bose makes good stuff and it will sound better than the aftermarket stuff I would get. Anyone have experience with the Bose setup? How does it sound? Should I look into it or just go aftermarket?

Oh yeah, I have the steering wheel controls also.
    Thanks!

Bose sounds good for clarity. Not Loudness. If your wanting a bass machine don't waste your money. Just buy after market components.

Agreed. Bose is sound clarity and can pick up high frequencies quite well. If you want thump I'd go with MTX, Alpine, Infinity, etc. My father has a setup in his camaro that produces good highs and lows (with 10 inch sub and 2 amps).

To get the bose working, you would have to put in all the bose speakers, amp and headunit and all the wiring. It'd be easier to get a new hu and go from there.

bose is marginally better than stock.

but most A/M **** is about the same as bose.

Most of this **** you wont be able to notice a difference unless you change the install or go CRAZY with EQ which you'll probably never be happy with.
