um i dont think you can tell if its DVC or SVC by looking at it first off and its not a marine sub at all..

Single 4 Ohm that is a single voice coil
    his sub:
how is this not his sub: (the one i linked is the 05)

    your linked 07

theres little difference other than the dust cap but the 05 is what he has its not a marine sub its discontinued and thats probably why they don't car to fix that error

and they come in both 8ohm and 4ohm SVC
there for the wiring should be like so for the 4ohm:
    8ohm wiring:
and the ohm regulates what the amp will put out

    heh.
wiring one woofer up with a single voice coil is the same for 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 ohm. they all get wired with 2 pieces of wire.

you can tell dual voice coil easily because it will have two sets of connections "four wires"

to tell if its 4 ohm or 8 ohm throw an ohm meter across the terminals and measure the DC resistance. it won't be the same as the AC impedance but it will give you a ballpark figure.

And you don't "put ohms" into a speaker.

Yes, but its more complicated than that.

The resistance in the sub's coil restricts the amount current flowing from the amp.

Resisting the flow, restricts the flow.

    Choice of words.
