Thread: Replacement key how to program

Ok i just picked up a 05 grand prix. I want to get another key for it. i have done some research but I am getting different things. can i buy a key off ebay and program it myself? or do i have to go to the dealer? and if i can what are the steps with out a tech 2? thanks

If I remember correctly you insert the master key and turn ignition to ON, then back to off, then insert the key to be learned to ON then to off. Don't remember if there's a time frame to follow.
