Does anyone have the part number (or equivelant) for the display bulb in the stock head units?

My display went out tonight, and the radio works fine, just no display so I know the bulb went out. The last one that went out I had to improvise, but it worked, just dont remember what bulb I used.

Are you referring to the DIC lights or just the lights on the Speedo/Tach etc? If its the Speedo/tach 194/168 will work with those. If it is for the DIC, then I am in the same boat you are. I pulled one from old 98 GT and it did not have any markings on it.

I have even taken it to several auto stores locally and they have no idea what it is. I tried several different styles that sorta matched, but none worked. I guess only a GM dealership would know the exact number. Or maybe Reptile can look it up to get a good idea on it?

Now if its in the stereo or AC controller, I think some of them had 194's in the, but most were LED's soderred to the PCB Board. There have been several write ups floating around on how to change them, but its such a hassle. And I like to think of myself as a pretty sodderer, but even those little pesky buggars make me gringe.

    ************EDIT**************

Just reread your post again. I think its time for you to just upgrade that old beast and put suffim nice in it to support your nice speakers you have in your car

I think those bulbs are just led's (all I ever used to replace when repairing them I believe)

Go to Oreillys, they have the PN in the computer and the blub in the isle. I've replaced that blub in 2 Delco radios. Cost a couple bucks I think...
