hey guys i just put in a alpine HU in my fiances car and i noticed you can't display the clock with it off.....am i missing something or are all alpine HU's like this?

I have the 9886 unit and can't do it either. I have a post on here somewhere asking the same question and as far as I know it is not possible. I pretty much always have the HU turned on but I agree that it is still an annoying issue!

Why the hell would you ever turn off the head unit? Alpines are the best fyi.

The clock feature when off is no longer available on the newer alpine headunits. I don't know why they decided to get rid of it.

Cause it was dumb. Electronics should never be turned off, kinda like my computer!!
