Alright, well I just picked up two of these: Subwoofers | TXX-BF10 , and I picked up an older model Audiopipe 1500w RMS monoblock amp (couldn't find a link). So now i need to buy a box, a wiring kit (going to go with 4 gauge), and a head unit. I've heard that grand prix headunits can be a pain in the ass to replace because they have the steering wheel controls attached. I would like to buy a headunit that has attachments for the steering wheel controls because i love them. I also need RCA for the amp in the back (obviously), and i would like a USB port for an ipod. My budget is around 100-150 for one, and if you all could find one in that range i would really appreciate it.

EDIT, yes i know im a lurker here, i just never got around to registering and i finally did.

top end of budget i know but you can hide your ipod in the glove compartment and still hook up what ever to the front. Also basically any aftermarket Hu can get the steering wheel controls but the adapter is 55 Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface

as for the amp if you can get the model number off of it i can find you the specs

Thanks for the adapter, that's what i really wanted to know/find just was unsure about it. But here's the serial number 041ap15001d04110376
    Audiopipe AP-15001D @ 1500w(1ohm)
Another snag, how do I bypass the stock amp that comes with the Bose setup in the GTP's? I don't want to have to get a four channel amp to rewire the speakers, is there any way I could connect the aftermarket amp to the headunit, and buy a LOC for the stock bose amp for the speakers/tweeters? Or is there a better way to do this? The aftermarket amp I have does not have crossovers.

I've got an aftermarket radio if you're interested. Has iPod control. Here's the model number. Pioneer DEH-P6900UB I wouldn't want much for it since it's used. Or if you wanna buy strictly new that's cool. As far as bypassing the amp I have no clue. Neither of my GP's have Bose.

I have a adapter I could sell that would let you keep the stock radio and connect a system used it in my 05gp so I could keep the steering wheel controlls and cd changer that had a Bose amp in it to worked just fine

You would run the blue wire on the aftermarket wire harness to the stock amp wire then a new remote wire or splice into that and then run it to the aftermarket amp

Remote has nothing to do with ohm load it only turns on the amp(s)

Yup what loud said alls it is is a power switch also rca's only send your audio signal dose not change your ohms . The ohm load changes come in to play when you start changing how the speaker wires are connected to the sub or amp terminals ie if you were to take one positive wire and bridge it to the other positive terminal things like that change ohms

How to change your ohm: when you wire you ether do Series or Parallel or a combo of them.

If it were me, I would just simply rerun speaker wire and avoid the entire Bose mess. I second a pioneer head unit. I would also be pretty hesitant to wire your speaker level outputs from your new head unit to the factory Bose amp which I believe accepts a low level signal just like most amplifiers would. You wont worry about ohms, that hasn't changed because you haven't rewired your speakers, I would be more worried about that high level signal. Take this with a grain of salt however, I didn't have the Bose system installed either.
    Infinity all around.
